Aim

NATC Youth Service aims to make a difference in the lives of Young Travellers and their families by providing services, programmes and opportunities for young people to become involved and make informed decisions on their development and the development of their communities.

We aim to empower young Travellers to involve themselves in both their own leisure and social development and in the development of their own Community both locally and nationally.

The National Association of Travellers' Centres provides a comprehensive Youth Work Programme of activities for Young Travellers and others that reflects the changing context of Youth Work and society and is inline with current Legislation (Youth Work Act 2001). What is Youth Work?

Investment in Youth Work

The National Association of Travellers' Centres invests considerable resources in order to ensure a high level of staff training thereby enabling the organisation to build up a high level of professional competence. We continue to support the professional development of our employees, volunteers and youth leaders by providing education and training opportunities throughout the year.

Youth Work funding

The National Association of Traveller Centres allocates funds to youth groups to help them financially deliver programmes and activities that meet the needs of disadvantaged youths. Grants are allocated to organisations and groups for specific projects that seek to address the needs of young Travellers.
