The STEPS Forward Programme is a two year pilot programme for people from the Traveller community. This programme is delivered by the National Association of Travellers' Centres. It is funded and supported by FÁS.

The participants
Between 16 and 20 people will participate on this programme. Participants ideally will have good literacy and numeracy skills and/or relevant training (FETAC, FÁS etc.). They will also have the ability to be part of a group.
Each participant will have a mentor to support them through the two years. The mentor will provide support and guidance to the participant in relation to their learning and their participation on the programme.
Each participant will receive a training allowance while on the programme and costs towards travel.
